19. Upon returning from a feast at Jerusalem how came Joseph and Mary to lose Jesus when He was twelve years old?

Answer

"But they, supposing Him to have been in the company, went a day's journey; and they sought
Him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance. And when they found Him not, they turned back again to
Jerusalem, seeking Him." Verses 44, 45.
NOTE - This is how many lose Jesus today. They suppose He is in their company, but do not see
to it that He is with them Personally. Through carelessness it takes but a day to lose Him; but, when once
lost, it sometimes takes days of sorrowful searching, as it did Joseph and Mary, to find Him again.
