4. What was another memorial instituted to commemorate another signal providence in behalf of the Israelites?

Answer

"And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and you shall keep it a feast to the Lord
throughout your generations; you shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever." Ex. 12: 14.
NOTE-This, the pass over, was a periodical memorial, to be observed on the fourteenth day of the
first month of each year, the day on which the Israelites were delivered from Egyptian bondage; and its
celebration was to be, with the seven days' feast of unleavened bread following and connected with it, in
commemoration of that event. See Ex. 13: 3-9.
