What was the special mission of John the Baptist?

"There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of
the Light, that all men through him might believe." John 1: 6, 7.

Will sin and its evil results ever appear again?
What change is wrought by beholding Jesus?
Into whose name are believers to be baptized?
How may we receive this same imputed righteousness?
While in this condition, how much does one know about those he has left behind?
What will the ransomed of the Lord then do?
How completely will the pains and sorrows of the former world pass away?
