Why was the gospel to be preached to the Gentiles?

Answer

"Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for His
name." Acts 15: 14.

How only do any become children of God?
What was the result of the Jews' not accepting Christ?
Did Christ come to abolish or to destroy the law?
Under the old covenant, what did the people promise?
Does the Papacy acknowledge that it has changed the Sabbath?
What did the prophet see coming up at this time?
But are not the righteous dead in heaven?
